HRC65 2-Flute Through-Coolant Solid Carbide Drill Overview
This HRC65-series 2-flute through-coolant solid carbide drill is designed for stable holemaking in steel, alloy steel, pre-hardened steel and selected hardened-steel applications. Dual internal coolant channels deliver coolant close to the cutting zone to support chip evacuation and temperature control, while the precision-ground two-flute geometry balances body strength with chip space. The standard series covers metric diameters from Ø3.0 to Ø16.0 mm. Diameter, flute length, overall length, shank, point geometry, coating, marking and packaging can also be reviewed for OEM requirements.
Key Configuration
Dual Internal Coolant Channels
Through-tool coolant delivery directs coolant toward the drill point to support chip evacuation and cutting-zone temperature control.
Precision-Ground 2-Flute Geometry
The symmetrical two-flute design balances drill-body strength, chip space and stable cutting during CNC hole production.
Ø3.0–16.0 mm Standard Range
The listed metric sizes cover common steel-drilling requirements, with mixed-size and custom supply available.

Product FAQs
Product-specific information about steel applications, hardened-material suitability, through-coolant requirements, available configurations and machining conditions for this HRC65 solid carbide drill.
What materials is this drill designed for?
This drill is designed for steel, alloy steel, pre-hardened steel and selected hardened-steel applications. Final suitability should be confirmed according to the exact workpiece grade, hardness, hole diameter, drilling depth and machining conditions.
Does HRC65 mean the drill can machine every material at 65 HRC?
No. HRC65 indicates the upper series positioning for selected applications and suitable machining conditions. It is not a universal hardness guarantee. Workpiece grade, actual hardness, hole condition, machine rigidity, coating and cutting parameters must be reviewed before machining hardened materials.
What is the advantage of the through-coolant design?
Internal coolant channels deliver coolant closer to the cutting zone. Under a suitable coolant supply, this configuration supports temperature control, cutting-edge protection and chip evacuation during continuous CNC drilling.
What coolant setup is required?
A stable through-coolant supply is recommended. Coolant pressure, filtration and flow should be matched to the drill diameter, hole depth, workpiece material and machine capability. Insufficient coolant delivery can reduce chip evacuation and cutting stability.
What sizes and drilling-depth configurations are available?
Standard and custom configurations can be reviewed according to the product series. Diameter, flute length, usable drilling depth, shank diameter, overall length and coolant-hole design should be confirmed before ordering.
What information is required for a quotation?
Please provide the required diameter, hole depth, workpiece grade and hardness, hole type, coolant capability, coating requirement and estimated quantity. A drawing is recommended for custom dimensions, stepped profiles or non-standard coolant configurations.
Ordering & OEM FAQs
General information for trial orders, mixed-size purchasing, private labeling and production scheduling.
Do you accept small trial orders?
Yes. Small sample or trial orders are welcomed for dimensional verification and machining evaluation before committing to volume purchasing.
Can mixed sizes be ordered together?
Yes. Standard and custom sizes can be combined in one order when the carbide grade, coating and production requirements are compatible. Mixed-size purchasing is suitable for distributors, resellers and batch inventory planning.
Is OEM laser marking available?
Yes. Custom shank laser marking such as a logo, model number, dimensions or batch identification can be reviewed together with OEM labels, individual packaging and outer-box requirements.
What is the typical production lead time?
Standard stock items normally have a shorter lead time, while custom dimensions, internal coolant channels, special coatings and OEM packaging require additional production time. The exact schedule is confirmed according to specification, quantity and current production capacity.
