SPGT Insert Specifications
The overview lists six SPGT carbide insert models for compatible indexable U-drills. Select by the complete drill-body and insert codes, then confirm the insert pocket, center or peripheral position, carbide grade and aluminum-specific cutting geometry. A model number alone does not identify the finished hole diameter.

Configuration & Holder Matching
| المواصفات | What to confirm |
|---|---|
| Insert type | Positive-clearance square SPGT carbide insert; verify the complete model and chipbreaker suffix. |
| قطعة العمل | Aluminum and selected non-ferrous alloys; identify the exact alloy and silicon content. |
| Grade / surface | Confirm carbide grade and whether the ordered edge is polished, uncoated or coated. These options are not interchangeable by appearance. |
| Drill-body match | Check pocket dimensions, insert seat, screw and center/peripheral positions against the drill manufacturer's parts list. |
| Hole configuration | Hole diameter, drilling depth, through/blind exit, machine type and coolant delivery follow the complete U-drill assembly. |
| Pack / OEM | Overview states 10 pieces per box; confirm each item, mixed-model quantity and requested label or private-label pack. |
Cutting Data & Selection Notes
Set cutting speed and feed per revolution from the complete U-drill body, insert grade and aluminum alloy. Check spindle power, drill overhang, coolant pressure/flow and chip removal before a production run. With center and peripheral pockets, follow the drill body's specified insert combination and cutting limits.
The original page provides no verified speed/feed chart for these six configurations. Do not transfer another manufacturer's cutting values or infer a hole diameter from the SPGT insert code.
For a matching insert drawing and starting cutting data, send the drill-body code, insert code, aluminum grade and required quantity. See the broader SPMG/SPGT/SPMT U-drill insert range.
◆Carbide Insert Customization & OEM
Specify the insert around the machining operation, workpiece and holder. We can review standard replacements, application-specific geometry and private-label requirements using your insert designation, drawing or sample. Available grades, coatings, dimensions and order quantities are confirmed for each requested series.
Geometry & Chip Control
Review chipbreaker, rake, cutting-edge preparation, nose radius and corner design for the operation and workpiece. Confirm holder compatibility before approving a modified geometry.
Substrate & Coating
Select an available carbide grade and coating for the workpiece material, cutting conditions and desired balance of wear resistance and edge toughness.
Dimensions & OEM
Review insert size, thickness, locating and clamping features, tolerances, laser marking and private-label packaging against the approved specification.

Product FAQs
Which SPGT models are listed for this range?
The current product description lists SPGT050204, SPGT060204, SPGT07T308, SPGT090408, SPGT110408 and SPGT140512. Confirm the complete code, grade, chipbreaker and stock status for each item.
Can I select the insert from the hole diameter alone?
No. The drill body's model and parts list determine the insert size, pocket and center or peripheral position. The SPGT code does not by itself state the finished drill diameter.
Are all SPGT inserts interchangeable with other U-drill brands?
Do not assume interchangeability from the SPGT shape and size code. Compare the complete insert geometry, thickness, mounting hole, edge preparation, pocket and retaining screw with the drill manufacturer's approved parts list.
What edge is suitable for aluminum drilling?
A sharp positive edge and suitable smooth rake face can help reduce adhesion and cutting resistance. Confirm whether the selected HY model has a polished, uncoated or coated surface and whether its grade suits the exact aluminum alloy, especially high-silicon grades.
Can the same insert be used in the center and outer positions?
That depends on the U-drill body. Some indexable drills specify different center and peripheral insert geometries or grades. Check both positions and follow the approved insert combination for the complete holder code.
What speeds and feeds should I use?
Use starting values supplied for the specific drill body, insert grade, diameter and aluminum alloy. Adjust for drilling depth, machine rigidity, coolant delivery and chip behavior. The overview does not provide a verified cutting-data chart for every SPGT model.
Ordering & OEM FAQs
What should I send for an exact replacement quote?
Send the U-drill body code and clear photos of the insert or box label, plus the full SPGT code, center/peripheral position, workpiece alloy, required quantity and current cutting conditions.
Can I combine several SPGT sizes in one order?
Yes, send a line-by-line list of full insert codes, grades and quantities. Mixed-model supply and minimum order quantities are confirmed against each item and the order plan.
How are these inserts packed?
The current overview states 10 pieces per box. Confirm the actual pack quantity for each code when ordering; neutral boxes, barcodes, customer SKU labels and private-label packs can be reviewed with the quotation.
Can I request a sample before a larger order?
Provide the complete drill and insert codes, aluminum alloy, hole diameter/depth and evaluation conditions. Sample availability and trial quantity are confirmed by configuration.
