3D/5D Through-Coolant Carbide Drill
This coated solid carbide drill is designed for stable and accurate hole machining in steel. Internal coolant channels deliver coolant directly toward the cutting zone to support chip evacuation and temperature control. The 3×D configuration provides greater rigidity for short holes, while the 5×D configuration provides additional reach for medium-depth drilling. Standard diameters are available from Ø3 to Ø20 mm. Diameter, flute length, overall length, shank, point geometry, coating, marking and packaging can also be reviewed for OEM requirements.
Key Configuration
3×D or 5×D Length Options
Select the shorter 3×D version for rigidity or the 5×D version when additional drilling reach is required.
Dual Internal Coolant Outlets
Through-tool channels deliver coolant toward the drill point to support chip removal and cutting-zone cooling.
Steel-Drilling Configuration
Precision-ground geometry and a wear-resistant coating are configured for suitable steel-drilling applications.

Through-Coolant Drilling Guidance
- Depth Selection: Use 3×D for short holes and 5×D only when the additional reach is required.
- إمدادات سائل التبريد: Maintain stable through-spindle coolant pressure, flow and suitable filtration.
- Rigid Setup: Use a clean, low-runout precision holder and minimize unnecessary overhang.
- Parameter Verification: Match speed and feed to the exact steel grade, hardness and hole condition.

Product FAQs
Product-specific information about 3×D and 5×D drilling, steel applications, through-coolant requirements, available configurations and machining conditions for this solid carbide drill.
What materials is this drill designed for?
This drill is designed primarily for carbon steel, structural steel, alloy steel and selected tool-steel applications. Final suitability should be confirmed according to the exact workpiece grade, hardness, hole diameter, drilling depth and machining conditions.
What is the difference between the 3×D and 5×D configurations?
The 3×D version is intended for shorter holes and generally provides higher rigidity, while the 5×D version provides additional reach for medium-depth drilling. Select the shortest suitable configuration to support stability and minimize tool overhang.
What is the advantage of the through-coolant design?
Internal coolant channels deliver coolant closer to the drill point. Under a suitable coolant supply, this configuration supports chip evacuation, cutting-zone temperature control and stable continuous drilling in steel components.
What coolant setup is required?
A stable through-spindle coolant supply is recommended. Coolant pressure, flow and filtration should be matched to the drill diameter, hole depth, workpiece material and machine capability. The internal channels should remain free from contamination or blockage.
What sizes and configurations are available?
Standard and custom 3×D or 5×D configurations can be reviewed according to the product series. Diameter, flute length, usable drilling depth, shank diameter, overall length, coating and coolant-hole design should be confirmed before ordering.
What information is required for a quotation?
Please provide the required diameter, 3×D or 5×D configuration, actual hole depth, workpiece grade and hardness, hole type, coolant capability, coating requirement and estimated quantity. A drawing is recommended for non-standard dimensions or custom coolant configurations.
Ordering & OEM FAQs
General information for trial orders, mixed-size purchasing, private labeling and production scheduling.
Do you accept small trial orders?
Yes. Small sample or trial orders are welcomed for dimensional verification and machining evaluation before committing to volume purchasing.
Can 3×D and 5×D drills be ordered together?
Yes. Different diameters and 3×D or 5×D configurations can be combined in one order when the carbide grade, coating and production requirements are compatible. Mixed-size purchasing is suitable for distributors, resellers and batch inventory planning.
Is OEM laser marking available?
Yes. Custom shank laser marking such as a logo, model number, dimensions, depth ratio or batch identification can be reviewed together with OEM labels, individual packaging and outer-box requirements.
What is the typical production lead time?
Standard stock items normally have a shorter lead time, while custom dimensions, internal coolant channels, special coatings and OEM packaging require additional production time. The exact schedule is confirmed according to specification, quantity and current production capacity.
